2014 is on the verge of end and with the end there are lots of devices that are lined up for its release date. Here's are some of the most anticipated and popular devices that are on the verge of its release.


Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a high-end Android 'phablet', released in Q4 2014. It features an impressive 5.7" 1440 x 2560 QHD Super AMOLED display, 2.7Ghz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. It Galaxy Note 4 shooter comes in at 16MP with optical image stabilisation and 4K video recording. The exterior features a faux leather texture backing and metal casing.
One unique feature of the Galaxy Note 4 is the ability for it to be connected to the Samsung Gear VR headset, a virtual reality device that features real time 360-degree head tracking and stereoscopic 3D imaging.

Moto X (2014)



Motorola's 2014 Moto X is a major update to the original Moto X. Significantly larger than the original, the 2014 Moto X features a 5.2" AMOLED 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5Ghz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. The shooter comes in at 13MP, has an F/2.25 lens, dual flash, and can record 4K UHD video. The Moto X is powered by a 2300mAh battery. On the software side, the Moto X runs on stock Android, with no custom launcher in site. A few other nifty features include waving your hand in front of the phone to silence an incoming call or alarm, Moto Voice, which adds to Google's Voice Search, and Active Display, which allows you to peek at new notifications without having to open the phone

Samsung Galaxy Alpha


The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is slated for September 2014 release. The Alpha is the first major metal cased smartphone released by Samsung, with all previous devices encased in plastic.
The Galaxy Alpha has a 4.7" 720p Super AMOLED display, with 320 ppi pixel density. It's powered by Samsung's own Eynos octacore processor, a combined quad 1.8GHz and quad 1.3GHz. It has 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.

Other features include a fingerprint sensor, 12MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, WI-Fi 802.11ac and is backed by a 1860mAh battery.


Sony Xperia Z3 Compact


The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is Sony's next compact Xperia Z device. Notable features include the new shooter, featuring an impressive 20.7MP 1/2.3" imaging sensor, with a Sony G 25mm lens and maximum ISO of 128000 for low light conditions. It also supports Hi-Res audio with onboard amplification, noise cancelling and audio upscaling. All this runs on a 2.5Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 2600mAh battery. The 4.6" IPS LCD display has a 720p resolution. The Xperia Z3 Compact is also IP65 and IP68 copliant meaning it's good for those dusty or wet environments.

Moto 360


The Moto 360 is an Android Wear based smartwatch, announced by Motorola in March 2014. The Moto 360 features a circular capacitive touch display, is water resistant and features wireless Qi charging.
